alice & frank’s wedding day has been twenty-five years in the making. these two dated [as in… went on a couple dates for a couple weeks] as teenagers – and it didn’t work out. two decades later, alice couldn’t get frank off her mind. she found herself wondering: where was he living? what was he up to? did he ever marry? thanks to facebook, alice got back in touch with frank — he had never married and they soon started talking. a few weeks into their “second” relationship, they knew this was it. on their one-year dating anniversary [june 16] alice & frank became husband and wife!
although vancouver did anything but shine [it was POURING!!] — the weather couldn’t ruin alice & frank’s joy. we laughed at the downpour and often alice would grin and say, it’s all good! it’s all good! this was a first for me: watching a bride mingle before the ceremony with her guests! the lovely alice individually greeted everyone at the burnaby village museum chapel before she walked down the aisle & when guests entered the ceremony late, she waved mid-service welcoming them in. frank has a heart of gold, too — candace and i felt so cared for — made sure we had seats and ate all four-courses of the fabulous meal. loved the food at their seasons in the park restaurant reception.
congratulations, you two! it was a pleasure.
What an awesome story! I’m curious about the shoe photo – wedding traditions are so fun.
@mandie – seriously?! oh man, maybe it’s a canadian game? http://www.dj-tips-and-tricks.com/wedding-game-shoe-game.html — literally see it at 95% of my weddings.
So, so pretty!!! Love their story!
