Maritza & Steven met while working at TD Canada two years ago. Although Maritza was raised in Vancouver, Steven was new to the city. Maritza wrote “One of the biggest impressions [Steven] left on me was his calm, friendly and genuine interest in speaking with all of his clients, particularly the elderly. He spoke to each person as if they were his long time friend, and I liked the attention to detail he had during those moments with them.” Maritza was impressed — and after a few months, their office friendship blossomed into a relationship.
It was wonderful to get to know Steven & Maritza a little more than our first meeting as we photographed around Port Moody. I love seeing how they balance one another — Maritza and I connected over our wiring to think long-term. Always planning. Always thinking about tomorrow. But Steven is the “calm” to her storm and the “introvert” to her extravert. He likes to focus on the now, focus on today — and I can only imagine how valuable a trait like that would be in a partner. One more tid-bit from their questionnaire — the song that means the most to them as a couple? “Unfortunately,” Maritza says, “Like a G6 by Far East Movement… It played nonstop during a dinner before we were offically together and brings us back to that moment each time we hear it.”
