Lori and Kevin met their second year of studies at the University of British Columbia. They “knew of” one another but never anything more than a few facts. After graduation they continued to bump into each other but it was simply a “hi and bye” kind of friendship. Until, nine years after their first meeting, they reconnected in Vancouver. Since their time in school together, Lori had worked in Hong Kong and Kevin in the US, but life brought them both back home. At a mutual friend’s house one evening, they struck up a conversation and found a common interest – a desire to take golf lessons. They spent the summer golfing together and officially started dating in October of 2006.

It was fun to reconnect with these two, months after their client consultation at my home. Lynn Canyon Park was the perfect spot for their session – on a gorgeous, gorgeous Friday afternoon. Lori lives a couple blocks away from the park, so growing up it felt like “her backyard” in a way. I’m excited to be their wedding photographer on June 8th!
