Nicole and Ryan inquired with me a couple months ago… and within an hour of answering Nicole’s email we were on the phone together and the details for their wedding photography was confirmed. “I need to book you before someone else does!” Nicole said. No complaints here. (Not only that but Nicole’s best friend also booked me as her wedding photographer for next Spring. Thankful!)
Nicole and Ryan have known one another for almost 15 years. They met as teenagers, when Nicole and her girlfriends would hang out and watch the guys play hockey. Ryan was one of those guys. From there, the same group of friends started a slow pitch baseball team which they played on together for years and years. Only two and half years ago, Nicole and Ryan found themselves “both single” at the same time. Ryan had always had an eye for Nicole, he remembers, and he loved her fun-loving spirit. As fate would have it, in Nicole’s words, “we found a long lasting love we had both been waiting for.”
Don’t you just love that story? What a gift to have known your soon-to-be spouse for so long! Something else Nicole wrote to me that I loved was “We enjoy spending everyday together, we don’t spend very much time apart.” My husband and I are the same way and I couldn’t imagine anything different. A couple weeks ago, I met Nicole and Ryan down at the Steveston harbour to take their engagement photos – love what we created!
Nicole and Ryan, so excited for your wedding next September at the UBC Boathouse. It was a pleasure to meet you both and spend an hour with you as the sun went down in Steveston!
Jamie! Love these. So when we do finally meet you HAVE to take our pictures haha.
What a gorgeous couple, too! Love these shots, you captured them perfectly!
