last month i got a facebook message from a guy named bryce. bryce had a girlfriend named heidi, who had loved & stalked my blog faithfully for months. bryce and heidi are from ontario, from the same home church as my friend amy. we have quite a few mutual friends as heidi attended TWU for a year (as did i!) and bryce attended PBC (as did many people i know!) i was so excited to receive his message and to hear that heidi & bryce would be in seattle for a conference. bryce had the idea of surprising his girlfriend with a session in vancouver, driving up for the day from seattle.

there was a week where i didn’t hear from bryce in the session planning until i received another email. bryce no longer wanted a session for him & his girlfriend heidi, he wanted a session for him & his FIANCE heidi. ;) they got engaged on july 4th. they are planning a wedding back in their hometown (in ontario) for next summer but i was delighted to meet up with them at the beach in my hometown on monday.

bryce & heidi grew up in the same church and heidi said she had a crush on “the pastor’s son” even during elementary school days. it wasn’t until they attended the same internship program after high school that they stated their liking of one another. ;) dating plans were put on hold for a year as heidi was off to langley, bc for school and bryce was off to portland, or. they returned to ontario and started where they left off. it’s been about two years and they’ve decided it’s time to make it for forever. i loved this session; they have the cutest, greatest style and i love how they incorporated their love of football into the shoot. ooohhh and their TOMS. enjoy!
