From Christie and Tim’s first date two summers ago, they knew they had something special. Tim called again for a second date and after dinner in North Vancouver, Christie suggested grabbing ice cream! Tim told a little white-lie (it’s okay! it worked out!) and mentioned there wasn’t anywhere near for ice cream, instead they should walk down to the end of the pier. Tim and Christie shared their first kiss on this very pier and two years later, Tim took Christie for another walk hand-in-hand and asked her to be his wife.
After hearing that story, it was only fitting that Christie and Tim would start their engagement session at the pier near Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. A little bit of their history in their engagement photos. It was an overcast, rainy Vancouver day, but not too cold! Christie and Tim braved the less-than-perfect weather with a smile on their face and a newly purchased clear umbrella in their hands!
After our first engagement session location, we drove up the Sea to Sky Highway to Rainbow Park, one of Christie and Tim’s favourite spots in Whistler. Usually, my engagement sessions include only one location but I was glad Christie and Tim chose to “add-on” to their session and show me this lovely location! We loved shooting here! The snow was gorgeous, we had a bit of sunlight in our favour (much better than North Van!) and once again, it wasn’t even that chilly! I love the sound of snow melting. (Is that weird?)
Christie’s floral crown was absolutely gorgeous – as was Tim’s “nordic” sweater. ;) Great job Christie on the outfit choices. You nailed it.
How cute are these two?
I love the light hidden in these trees.
We found these great little cabins right in the park and I knew we needed to take advantage of the rustic wood background.
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, Christie and Tim! Can’t wait to see you guys Thanksgiving weekend for your wedding! Yay!
