Vivian and Alex met online three years ago and after a week of exchanging emails, decided to meet for their first date at Chapters! They hit it off right away and knew they had a special love together. I first met Vivian when she was a bridesmaid in Allison and Patrick’s wedding. Shortly after Allison’s wedding, Vivian contacted me about her engagement and upcoming wedding! Vivian and Alex are on the shy side and knew they wanted a small, intimate wedding with only a few guests: the people who mattered most to them.

Sunday afternoon, the day had finally come! Alex waited nervously for the ceremony to begin with his family and friends while Vivian stayed hidden away nearby. When the music started to play, Vivian walked the long aisle in the outdoor park to where Alex waited, smiling ear to ear. Their vows were so, so sweet. Personalized, sincere and funny.

Due to the small number of guests, Vivian and Alex chose to forego a traditional bridal party, leaving us with lots of time to venture around “downtown” Maple Ridge for some portraits of the two of them.

The camera loved Vivian and Alex! So many great moments.

Vivian and Alex wanted to have a first dance… but preferred to have one in private. They played music on their iPhone and danced in the same spot they were married an hour beforehand. :)
