domenic & brian promised forever to one another on a rather hot monday afternoon at vancouver’s hycroft manor. following the traditional ceremony, dee & brian had a tea ceremony inside the manor. i always love photographing anything of a different culture and was delighted to be there for another tea ceremony. dee & brian kept their celebration small with only seventy guests–those who mattered most to them. i love that they chose a monday, as well! domenic was so cute; i asked her, “what made you pick a monday wedding?” and she answered, “hmm. i just thought, why not? long weekend for our guests!” — so great.

the afternoon was spent leisurely enjoying great food and time with guests before some portraits of the wedding party around the gorgeous property. we did our best to stay out of the crazy heat by exploring some of the rooms at the house. after portraits, we headed to stanley park for a reception at the always elegant, stanley park tea house. the decor was impeccable; dee’s purple/peacock theme was incredible and the head table with it’s incredible, towering centerpieces were my favourite. thank you two so much for inviting me to capture your day: it was a pleasure!
