Selena and Jeff like to joke that they ‘met’ for the first time at Starbucks. And technically, of course, they did meet one another face to face for the first time over coffee. However, it wasn’t happenstance… the pair had been communicating online for the month leading up to their meeting! After chatting back and forth through messages, and as Jeff put it, ‘writing novels to one another,’ they agreed to meet for a coffee.

I quickly met Selena for the first time at Carmen and Trevor’s Wedding, as Selena is Carmen’s sister! Their wedding was almost two years ago and Selena and Jeff had been dating for only a few months. I was super excited when I heard from Selena last August… only five days after Jeff proposed in Whistler. It was such a pleasure to ‘officially meet them’ (again) last night for their Granville Island engagement photos. Enjoy!

Selena’s one engagement session request was to somehow incorporate Starbucks. Mission accomplished!
