Happy New Years, everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing week or two celebrating Christmas and New Year’s Eve and all those lazy, nothing days in between. I know we did. We both took the week off of work (I photographed one wedding but that’s all!) and simply enjoyed lots of time with our friends, Netflix, cleaning up around the house, sleeping in until 11:00am (it’s true, I did that one day), staying up too late, etc. It was the perfect break! Now it’s January 5th already and we’re back to regular life, planning, dreaming, scheming for the upcoming year ahead – which of course, will be unlike any other year we’ve had.

Before we charge too far ahead into January plans and all of the sessions up my sleeve for January, I wanted to pause and look back on my 2016 wedding season. It was my 9th season photographing weddings (my first was Summer of 2008) which means next year will be my 10th wedding season. And I’ll potentially hit the big 2-0-0 at a wedding in the Fall. (Have to book a couple more and see which one lands as the 200th!)

I went through every wedding this year (except for my last wedding, you can see favourites here) and picked out 2-4 images per wedding I loved. I’m drawn to happy, smiley images and I hope you see an awesome sense of my photography style in these photos. Enjoy!
