I asked Tina and Trevor while I was photographing, “When did you two get engaged?” Tina laughed. “We didn’t.”
The pair had been together for a couple years when one Spring day they mutually decided, We should get married… how about one month from now? Within a few short weeks, Tina and Trevor got married on a hot July afternoon with twenty of their very closest friends and family. Tina worn a beautiful blouse and full skirt and the day was simple and perfect. However, they always knew they wanted to have a ‘real’ reception so the planning for their December 30th celebration began.
That’s where I got to come in! I was intrigued by this idea of their double-wedding and loved corresponding with Tina. They booked me for portraits and reception coverage on December 30th at Brock House Restaurant. Although the reception didn’t start until after 6:00pm (well after dark in Vancouver in the winter!), Tina and Trevor were so flexible. We photographed portraits from 3:00pm to 4:15pm and the pair did all of their reception set-up after portraits and before guests arrived. (Tina changed out of her wedding dress to do so! Haha!)
I met Tina and Trevor for the first time about five minutes before we started photographing. I can’t thank them enough for their trust in me and my work! The whole wedding party was so sweet and fun and kept us all laughing. I really appreciated it and loved this day! Enjoy!
Tina and Trevor’s First Look – Tina didn’t wear a wedding gown for their summer ceremony!
I love this set of images.
Oh, that beautiful winter light… when it’s out, it’s so gorgeous.
We got so lucky with this gorgeous sunset and a beach to ourselves.
