We’ve been having the most delightful weather here in the Greater Vancouver area the last couple of weeks! After one of the rainiest October and Novembers ever, December has brought an abnormal amount of snow (any snow feels abnormal here!) and cold, cold temperatures. With the below freezing chill comes blue skies and sunny days. For families who are willing to brave the temperatures, it’s perfect shooting weather.
I’m so glad Laura and Jamus were two of those braves souls, along with their two children Ava and Jackson. I loved the images we created and was so impressed with Ava and Jackson’s attitudes. They are so sweet together and were so patient while we photographed outside. It was neat to meet Laura and Jamus because Laura said she inquired about their wedding photos back in 2011 and I was unavailable. I went back today and found the initial email correspondence—sad I wasn’t able to be their wedding photographer but so glad we got to capture these this week!
Edited to Add: I later was able to photograph Laura and Jamus’ in a totally different setting—Spring blossom family photos!
I always love to start off with as many photos as we can with everyone looking, because the longer the session goes, the harder this becomes! ;)
Little Jackson’s nose was so red and cold. Black and white to the rescue.
How beautiful is she?
Jackson started to fall over and his hands dipped into the snow. Ava reached down immediately to try and dust them off for him. Cutest.
Once the children were safely in the car seats a few feet away, I got a few quick photos of Laura and Jamus together! They celebrated their 5th anniversary this past year.
