Angel and Gary were married this past Saturday, July 29 at the Mayfair Lakes Golf Course in Richmond. The day began with preparations at Angel’s family home with her three bridesmaids, including her cousin Carmen. Gary and his boys showed up around 9:30am for the ‘Door Games’ tradition, winning Gary’s right to see his bride! The games are always so funny. After completing the challenges, Gary brought Angel down from where she was hiding upstairs for the tea ceremony.
Angel and Gary honoured their parents by serving tea, before we all traveled to Gary’s parent’s home for another tea ceremony with his side of the family. There was a huge lunch spread out for everyone and I’m always amazed at the hospitality of families I meet. I’m ‘just’ the photographer, but Gary’s parents came and found me in the other room and handed me a plate, before they had even gotten to eat. It was so kind.
The First Look took place on the Mayfair Lakes Golf Course before the outdoor ceremony (in the blazing hot, bright, sun!) where Angel & Gary were all smiles throughout their vows. We went off-site from Mayfair Lakes Golf Course to visit another photo location with coveted shade on the hot July afternoon! I love what we created.
Angel and Gary’s reception was designed so beautifully by Kawano Décor and exceptional paper flowers by Paper and Peony (Etsy). Seriously, every flower you see was hand-crafted by that company! So cool! I also loved the display of candles around the cake table.
It was a joy to be Angel + Gary’s wedding photographer and to see about 10 familiar faces from previous weddings in the crowd. I love when circles cross! Enjoy!

Angel’s sweet dog, Milo. Seriously, he was so sweet. I miss him already, and I have my own dog, too. Hahah.
How cute is this one of Angel?
Friends, it was bright outside. This photo may not look like it, but that’s because I worked very, very hard to find the correct light to make it not look impossibly bright. Hahah!
Love this of the girls.
