wedding: tina & jay

october second was the wedding day of two beautiful people named christina and jeremy. [also known as] tina and jay. i have considered tina one of my online friends for the past year. tina is a wedding photographer herself and i’ve been following her on twitter and seeing her name pop up on facebook for months. tina emailed me on october sixteenth last year [the day she got engaged] with the subject line “woohoo!” love it. i was honoured to  finally meet these two after a year of correspondance.

the wedding day started with the whole bridal party getting ready at the embassy suites hotel, right across from tina and jay’s spectacular wedding venue. every detail was thought through: tina’s unique black and green colour scheme was so rich… and look at their cute hanger for the dress! i love how everything about their wedding day was so city. after getting ready with the girls, we met up with jay for their first look. their “first look” on their wedding day was ADORABLE. tina cried and jay hugged her like he never wanted her to let go. which, he probably doesn’t. ;)

tina, being a wedding photographer, planned the day to perfection. the ceremony was full of some more happy tears and i loved the different readings tina and jay chose to incorporate into their program. the reception was held on the opposite side of the fiftieth floor: full of fabulous linens, immaculate centerpieces and seriously gorgeous florals. just look at ’em! to wrap up the night, tina and jay had some fun on the dance floor with their very lively bridal party. i really enjoy fun bridal parties. the bigger the better as far as i’m concerned! my second shooters and i [leanne and kristen, thank you!] had a blast dancing at the end of the night. tina and jeremy, thank you for welcoming me into your life and into your wedding. what a blessed day it was! hope hawaii is perfect. :)

All the pictures are SO beautiful! I shot my first wedding last Saturday. The weather didn’t cooperate though. :-( Rainy and cold at about 7:00 P.M. when I started shooting the whole bridal party. (Bride didn’t give enough time to do them) By the time I started bride and groom portraits, the castle where I was shooting was so dark my lenses wouldn’t even focus. (totally botched all my fabulous poses) SO glad you had better weather! And Tina was a beautiful bride!
