Wendy and Morgan were married this past Sunday, Canada Day! What a fun day to be married. The morning started at Wendy’s family’s apartment, getting ready with her parents, her brother and her bridesmaids. Excitement was in the air as the bridesmaids prepared 4 different challenges for the groomsmen, aka, “Door Games!” (Always a blast to photograph.)
When Wendy was in her beautiful gown, we went down to meet Morgan on another floor in the apartment. When they arrived, Morgan and the boys had to complete these four different challenges (with Wendy hidden away!) — until Morgan was allowed to have his First Look with his bride. The men aced the challenges, and had great attitudes, winning Morgan his bride!
Two tea ceremonies were held in the morning, for both sides of the family, before we drove to Deer Lake Park for wedding party portraits. I love what we captured. Wendy and Morgan’s look: formal suit and black bow tie, off-the-shoulder gown with a loose, ethereal bouquet… I was obsessed!
Wendy & Morgan’s ceremony and reception was held at Riverway Clubhouse in Burnaby, and it was my first time photographing at Riverway’s renovated ceremony site! It’s so bright and lovely and green; the perfect place for a summer wedding. Enjoy!
