Layla and Nic’s wedding day was originally planned for August 2020 at Fraser River Lodge, but when Covid surprised the world–they decided to postpone until they could safely celebrate. Instead, they chose to get married on their original wedding date in an immediate family-only ceremony at UBC Boathouse in Richmond. I was honoured to be there!

On their first wedding anniversary, Layla and Nic were finally able to celebrate with their beloved family and friends at the incredible Fraser River Lodge in Agassiz. Although the forecast looked ominous (and they already had dealt with rain at their first wedding!) the skies held back–and stayed a beautiful cloudy overcast. (Can I use beautiful and overcast in the same sentence? I love overcast skies!)

It was so special to celebrate Layla and Nic again and watch them have the wedding of their dreams with 60 guests in attendance. (And as always, Fraser River Lodge weddings are an absolute dream! It was my own wedding venue years ago, and it’s always a treat to photograph there again.)
