Anna booked a family photo session with me in early October, for her birthday weekend! Her family welcomed their third daughter earlier this year, and they wanted to capture their new family of five with updated photos. Unfortunately, I caught a cold… and then on the rescheduled date, Vancouver rain had other plans for us!

Although I usually encourage engagement sessions to proceed in the rain (unless it’s pouring)–with family sessions, it’s a different story. Kids plus cold, winter rain = no fun. This past week, we were finally able to reconnect for Anna and Ali’s family session and I love what we captured. Witnessing the connection between the older girls and their newest sister was adorable, and I count myself grateful to have been Anna’s family photographer!
