Monday, December 20 was an absolutely gorgeous winter day here in Vancouver, and the perfect day for Charmaine and Alex’s long-awaited wedding day. After a year of ups-and-downs planning their Vancouver wedding abroad from Hong Kong, the day finally arrived. Charmaine got ready with her bridesmaids in a suite at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia (one of the best hotels the city!) while Alex and the groomsmen primed themselves for the upcoming Door Games.
I’ll spare Alex and his groomsmen the embarrassment of the Door Games’ photos, but they are always so fun to capture. Think: Disney character costumes, BlackPink dances and athletic challenges–and I’ll leave the rest up to your imagination! After Alex won his bride Charmaine, the couple participated in two tea ceremonies for both sides of their family.
Their wedding ceremony took place at the stunning Holy Rosary Cathedral in downtown Vancouver, a venue I love but haven’t visited for quite some time! Following the ceremony, we snuck off to Coal Harbour for some quick (but beautiful) portraits in 0 degree temperatures. Charmaine and Alex’s day ended with a fabulous dinner in the Spanish Ballroom at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia.
So, so delighted that everything worked out for Charmaine and Alex’s wedding day and their trip to Vancouver. Between their Capilano Suspension Bridge Engagement Photos and their Christmas-week wedding at Rosewood Hotel Georgia, I think they experienced the best of what Vancouver has to offer in December. (And no rain at either photo session! Cheers to that!)
Charmaine and Alex, wishing you the happiest future together! Thank you for hiring me to capture your Rosewood Hotel Georgia wedding photos.
