Dana and Darryl were such sweet clients to work with. I loved photographing their engagement session in the forests of North Vancouver a few months ago—we lucked out with a beautiful sunny day then! Unfortunately, their October 26th wedding at Westwood Plateau Golf brought a very different kind of weather… rain, and lots of it. But what we lacked in sunshine, we made up for with the most vibrant, cheerful fall foliage. (Those red leaves!!)
Dana was such a trooper! Her dress got quite wet during the First Look portraits outside, but she took it all in stride. Thanks to Jaden (the venue coordinator) at Westwood Plateau (and her arsenal of heaters, blow dryers, and towels!), everything was dried out before the indoor ceremony began. Honestly, I think it was worth it for those gorgeous, romantic rainy-day portraits? I hope so!
The day itself was intimate and heartfelt, with about 50–60 guests, and quite a few kids running around, which made it feel even more lively. I loved it. I especially loved hearing the speeches and learning more about Dana and Darryl’s story, which is such a sweet one. (You can read more about how they met on their engagement session blog post!)
