the day before my scheduled montreal portrait session with melissa johnston i got an email: awful bout of food poisoning. hives all over. you don’t want to photograph me. i promise. what other days are you free? unfortunately i couldn’t fit in another session before i left montreal but melissa heard quebec city and boom, she was on it. yesterday morning she drove five hours from ottawa to quebec city to have me photograph her. three hours farther than montreal would have been for her. ;) so blessed by my clients — love that they love road trips and love me enough to take ’em.

melissa and i had so much fun together. on this trip i’ve been used to spending most days wandering alone, it was lovely to wander through the picturesque streets of quebec city with someone! and a photographer, no less. loved chatting with her about her business, her family, her love of travel. she’s never been to vancouver, which is ridiculous [and she knows it, seeing as she has been almost everywhere else in canada! “except manitoba but that doesn’t event count”] so when she finally does make it out all the way to the west coast, i’m buying her a coffee. yep. thanks again, melissa! loved spending the afternoon surrounded by cobblestone streets with you.
