Queen Elizabeth Park Wedding

It was so fun to see Kinson and Jenny again after nearly a year. (Their engagement session in Steveston was last October! Crazy!) The weather forecast wasn’t too promising during the week but we had beautiful weather in the morning for Queen Elizabeth Park Wedding photos. After the ceremony, the rain and wind started to come, but Jenny and Kinson kept smiling and we made due with heavy coats, clear umbrellas and positive attitudes! Haha! I absolutely adore how these two are together – so kind and sweet and it truly was a pleasure to be their photographer for their Queen Elizabeth Park wedding.

Jenny and Kinson have known one another since elementary school but didn’t become friends until years later! While on a French language summer exchange program back in 2008, Kinson started to develop feelings for Jenny. She wasn’t available at the time, so he kept it quiet, not even telling any of their mutual friends! A couple years later, Kinson asked to hang out with Jenny, which was a pretty normal thing for them. That evening, he admitted his feelings. Jenny was afraid to ruin the beautiful friendship they already shared, so she thought about it and politely declined. A few months later, Kinson tried again and Jenny thought, “Why not?” (A risk worth taking!) She grabbed Kinson’s hand and they’ve been regularly holding hands ever since!

The Celebration Pavilion at Queen Elizabeth Park is a great place to say “I Do” filled with natural light and heated floors for those chilly Autumn days.
