Timeea’s day started early. When I arrived around eight thirty to start getting ready photos, her hair and makeup were done, and the groomsmen showed up just a few minutes after! Within a few minutes of my arrival, Timeea was getting into her wedding dress to meet Chris for the First Look outside the front doors of her parents’ home. (I loved their First Look.)

We were nearly 25 minutes ahead of schedule, so the wedding party made their way to Swaneset Bay Resort for portraits! Because we arrived early, of course we started photographing early and looking back? A total God thing! We had about 25 minutes to photograph with no rain, only overcast skies. Shortly after that mark, it started to sprinkle and we photographed a bit faster. We drove a few minutes down to the road to another portrait location with only Timeea and Chris and this is when it started to pour. Windy gusts of sideways rain.

Timeea and Chris held umbrellas for some photos but were completely down to throw them to the side when needed. After about 3 minutes of furious shooting on the road, the rain started pouring! We all ran as fast as we could to our cars, throwing umbrellas in front of us. I was so thankful for T+C’s willingness to get a little wet in the rain–and thankful for the generous timeline that allowed an hour to ‘rest’ pre-ceremony and dry off! (I would never send my couples into the rain immediately before a ceremony.) It’s a fun memory I’ll always have from this day! Enjoy the images!!
