jasmine and vince worked together at sugoi, an athletic apparel company, almost nine years ago. they didn’t communicate much and jasmine’s only opinion of vince was a “quiet, serious artist who didn’t notice her at all.” to be fair, they were both seeing other people at the time — so there wasn’t necessarily an open door for either! after both jasmine and vince had moved onto work at other places, there was a former sugoi employees get-together. it was there, about five years ago, that jasmine & vince started talking and discovered what they had been missing for years previous. ;)

last year in april, on their three-year dating anniversary, vince proposed to jasmine on granville island. [you can see the exact spot in the photos below, on the dock, with only water behind!] they’ve been planning a september 8th, 2012 wedding ever since and i’m so excited to be their wedding photographer. i “unofficially” met jasmine + vince last year at vince’s brother henry’s wedding to veronica at fraser river lodge. absolutely love when i can see the same families again at another wedding a couple years later. i loved photographing vince + jasmine together yesterday evening on the island — the sunshine came out after a day of rain and the crowds were non-existent! so great.
