Alfred and Susan met at their Vancouver high school almost twenty years ago. They dated as teenagers but later went their separate ways when Susan went to Hong Kong to continue her studies. A few years after her move, they reconnected and started a long distance relationship between Hong Kong and Vancouver. Until five years ago when Alfred moved and started a business in Macau (an hour ferry ride from Hong Kong) – they’ve now been traveling between the two cities! Alfred asked Susan to be his wife a few years ago, however, in Susan’s words, they kinda slacked on the wedding planning until early this year.
Susan and Alfred were both in Vancouver this week for wedding-related tasks and one of those checkmarks was their engagement session. We met at Gene Cafe on Main Street in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood for some photos. These two will be married next August at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia! Enjoy!
