Carmen and Trevor met while studying at UBC, however, Trevor doesn’t remember first meeting Carmen. And Carmen remembers meeting Trevor “just… over… there,” maybe near the sideway. Didn’t seem like a convincing story. But after both graduating from the Accounting program some three years ago, Carmen and Trevor started working at the same firm. They ended up moving onto different jobs at the same time but it was through work at the office Carmen and Trevor got to know each other – and started dating.
Our engagement session was the first I had seen Carmen and Trevor since they booked me (via email) for their October 2014 wedding. However, I “officially” met Carmen when I sat with her and Trevor at Alvina and Jonathan’s wedding back in June. I was photographing and Carmen and Trevor were attending as guests. Even funnier, the very day before, I was photographing Jaclyn & Matt’s wedding in Langley (an hour away from Alvina and Jonathan’s wedding!) and Trevor was a groomsmen and Carmen was there, as well. So two days in a row, I shoot two weddings, an hour apart, totally unrelated friend circles and Trevor and Carmen show up at both. (Trevor was also a groomsmen back in 2010 at Scott and Andrea’s Langley/Chilliwack wedding.)
We chose to do their session at the University as it’s where they met (even if they can’t remember the exact day) and because it’s pretty. Especially in the Fall and in the fog. Carmen and Trevor, looking forward to your wedding day!
What beautiful photos. I especially like the one of you both walking through the leaves. All the best to you both.
