This past weekend, I had the pleasure of photographing Tamara & Levi’s wedding day in Vancouver at Westside Church. It was a beautiful overcast day–you can call an overcast day “beautiful” when it was supposed to rain, but doesn’t!–and I loved the portraits we captured in downtown Vancouver. It was a priority for Tamara & Levi to keep the day simple. They wanted to minimize travel time (photos only within walking distance!) and simply enjoy the day together with their friends and family.
Tamara prepared for the ceremony with her parents and bridesmaids in a hotel just one block away from the church, and all of the portraits were taken within that one block! It didn’t hurt that the stunning Vancouver Public Library is on route. After a really sweet First Look between Tamara and Levi (preceded by reading letters to each another back-to-back), we were joined by the bridesmaids and groomsmen for portraits.
Tamara and Levi’s ceremony space at Westside Church was really unique! I loved the look of the large mirrors and the cool reflections of a few guests watching from above. (Immediate family members were seated in the lobby below.) It was also super special to have Levi’s father officiate the wedding ceremony for his son. I’m grateful to have been a part of this awesome day. Enjoy!
