Kate and Thomas live in California, where they first met online in the Fall of 2020. Thomas had recently moved from BC to California for work, and meeting Kate so quickly after moving was a welcome surprise! Their first date was on a Sunday, where they attended Mass together and grabbed coffee afterwards.

Thomas had packed a picnic incase the date went well… and of course, it did! They ended up spending 10 hours together on their first date. Shortly after, Kate invited Thomas to spend Thanksgiving with her family (for 3 days!) which was a big step, but felt so natural to them. In Kate’s words, “We’ve been inseparable ever since.”

Kate and Thomas (and their families) were so wonderful and welcoming to me this past weekend at their wedding in Langley.
