Leanne grew up in Vancouver with her parents, but moved to San Francisco 7 years ago for a work opportunity. It was about 2 years ago now that she was swiping on Hinge and happened to see Wilson’s profile! They matched, and met up for their first date at a restaurant in San Francisco. Wilson chose the restaurant not realizing that it was tucked into a downtown building undergoing renovations, and felt a little silly thinking about Leanne having to navigate through scaffolding to arrive at their first date.

But safe to say, she didn’t mind. They both felt a connection from their first date, and they are getting married this August in San Francisco! Because Vancouver is Leanne’s family’s home, she emailed me about fitting in a last-minute engagement session to capture Vancouver’s beauty. I was glad I could find a space on my calendar to make it work! And I love these grey Jericho Beach skies… I always think the mountains are even more amazing in the overcast weather.
