Oh Autumn! Sarah and Mike’s wedding on Saturday, October 18th was the absolutely perfect autumn day. And I mean perfect. You see, Fall and Winter are the two rainiest months for Vancouver (actually Spring and Summer are too, hah!) and it poured on Thursday and especially Friday. Nevertheless, the forecast all week was calling for sun on Saturday, but who believes the forecast? Turns out: it was true! I remember back when I met Sarah and Mike in May, Sarah said her plan was to say and believe, “It’s going to be pouring!” so when it came to the day she wouldn’t be disappointed. Safe to say, we were all thrilled. The sun was out, the colour of the leaves were in full force: absolutely amazing. I honestly could not think of a more beautiful setting than Stanley Park and Granville Island for the portraits we took after the ceremony.
Sarah and Mike, thank you both so much for being fantastic clients. You are so sweet and it was such a priviledge to be there as part of your day. You made me completely comfortable and I felt right at home with both of you. I hope you are both having an incredible time in Mexico right now!
I started the day with Sarah in North Vancouver at her parent’s house.

How cute is her dad?! I loved how happy he was truly was on Sarah’s wedding day: shows how much he must have known she would be in good hands marrying Mike.

Off to Stanley Park with the bridal party: first of all, the men.

I just noticed how both of their blue eyes match the colors of their reception perfectly. Gorgeous!
Then it was off to Granville Island for a more urban feel.

The reception was held at the beautiful Royal Vancouver Yacht Club. What an incredible, incredible venue. The reception had a full ocean view, including this beautiful pier and a harbor full of yachts. Some amazing light once again!
