Dave & Chantal were married at the gorgeous The Falls Golf Course in Chilliwack, BC. I’ve absolutely loved getting to know these two over the past year since they both started attending our church. Chantal & I also went to the same bible study group for a few months. When these two got engaged, I was thrilled when I got an email from Chantal requesting that I be her wedding photographer. Chantal is a loyal blog reader and I love that she always knows what I’m up to… just a few nights ago I saw Dave & her at a church event and she was asking me all about my crazy flight stories. ;)

Chantal and Dave’s engagement session at white rock beach was so much fun–and you need to read their story in that post. I think it’s pretty cute. Back to Dave & Chantal’s wedding day! I have to say, what I love most about weddings is that I get to see two individuals come together as one. Their first moments as husband and wife. Marriage is such a beautiful thing! I love how they have found their match in one another; photographing them was such a treat. Their ceremony was beautiful as well, with the young adults pastor from our church as the officiant. It was full of meaningful vows and prayers as Dave & Chantal start the rest of their lives together.

It’s always fun to shoot portraits at The Falls because you get to take a golf cart out around the property and—don’t lie—you KNOW golf carts are always a blast. Hahah! The whole bridal party went with us but during the last half of the portrait time it was just my second shooter Dorothy & I with the couple. We were walking around to different spots, playing with the gorgeous sun and Dave turns to me and says, “I’m really glad we have you as a photographer Jamie. This is fun.” I laughed, “It is?! Good! That’s good to hear. Sometimes I wonder if I’m fun,” but he assured me I was. ;) I gotta say, that really made my day. What’s the point of wedding photos if you didn’t have fun taking them?
