Hello friends! Happy Tuesday morning to you all. The above picture is of my friend Bethany and I, hostesses for a bridal shower we had for our dear friend Kelsey this past Sunday afternoon. I thought it would be fun to give you a little glimpse into all our planning!
Hung in the front door, entry way (and throughout all of the rooms) were paper doiley banners. These doileys were purchased at a dollar store ($1 for 36!) and glued onto twine. So easy, such a fun impact! The guestbook table held a sign instructing guests to write down a few words to Kelsey and Jon and their favourite recipe. Bethany did the lovely florals in the hallway and on the food table.
I love my pink/white pom poms. Truly a labour of love. ;) I made 18 pom poms in one week. Each one takes close to 20 minutes. 6 hours of tissue paper-ing. But they are cost-effective ($1 per pom pom) with a huge impact, once again! On the kitchen island we had strawberry-mint-infused water (so good) and cucumber water. Chocolate cupcakes were baked by Bethany and decorated by our talented friend Melynn.
The fabric banner was a steal, as well. I found two tablecloths at Value Village – one medium pink, one blush pink. I had enough material to sew two table runners, one table square, and cut strips of fabric for two banners. Wooden doweling from Home Depot, tie fabric strips, and hang! Voila! Bethany made the beautiful “From Miss to Mrs.” banner.
I love photos. Snagged about 30 of Kelsey + Jon off of Kelsey’s facebook.
Kelsey’s maid of honour is her beautiful younger sister Emma.
All of us bridesmaids below! Kaitlin, Emma, the bride Kelsey, Bethany and I. We are missing Shauneille – who was out of town!
We love you Kelsey! Sooo excited for your wedding next month!

Love this shower!! so INCREDIBLY adorable :)
pps…. Jamie, where did you find those glass water dispensers? They are beautiful!
Maria – Costco!
I absolutely love the hanging photos with close pins idea! I will make sure I incorporate this into my cousin’s bridal shower. I decided to throw her a kid’s birthday party themed shower with a bride and groom’s pinata, bridal twists on old children’s games (marriage bingo, bridal Uno, pin the tail on the bridesmaid, etc). I even picked out some cute Bridal Shower Invitations that match the theme. I know she’s gonna love it!
Simply beautiful. Thanks for the wonderful ideas! :)
