A week before my wedding, I received a pretty special email inquiry. Amanda’s wedding to her fiancé Tyler was a month away, their first wedding of two! They are having a destination wedding in Mexico in May with their closest family and friends but wanted to legally be wed in Canada a few weeks before. Tyler’s family flew in from Calgary on Easter Weekend to Amanda’s cousin’s cottage in Port Moody. We were hoping for sun (as brides and photographers do!) but we were rudely greeted with rain. A ton of rain. Pouring rain.
Amanda and Tyler (well, especially Amanda, she’s a BC girl) were determined to be outside, regardless of the downpour! They were wed beneath a white tent, with their immediate families looking on from an adjacent tent. The ceremony was complete with a few tears and hand-written vows and a kiss and Amanda and Tyler became husband & wife! The entire group braved the rain under my trusty black umbrellas (purchased 12 for my wedding, thankfully didn’t need them!) for a photo before Amanda & Tyler and I (and Randy, he came along to the wedding, as well) drove down the street for some photos. I love what we captured together and loved Amanda & Tyler’s spirit together! Enjoy!
Besides the fact that you are a brilliant photographer Jamie, your writing about the photos is equally brilliant!
