vancouver club wedding: kelly&zac

ahh, i’m getting butterflies now. i just want to see him! kelly put her hand to her heart then tried to shake it off, her hands out to her side. are you texting him right now? kelly! somebody take her phone away from her!i was just quickly, but now i need to co-ordinate something else: i need it still, i need it. i’ll stop. ;) adoooorable.

kelly and zac’s wedding at the vancouver club this past weekend [easter!!] was on the most beautiful day of the year. that isn’t an exaggeration. april 23 truly was the nicest weather-day of the year 2011. temperatures were near eighteen degrees [celsius] and bright sun. kelly got ready with her bridesmaids in a gorgeous suite at the vancouver club, where both the wedding ceremony and the reception took place.

you may already know from kelly and zac’s engagement session that these two met on eHarmony last year: by the first date, they knew they’d met something special. they never met anybody else. actually, kelly emphasized in her & zac’s closing speech at the end of the evening that, although i happened to be the first and only match zac ever met in person through eHarmony–that was NOT the case for ME, let me tell ya! zac’s response to this? i never should have bought the one-year membership… the three-month would have done fine. waste of money. — that’s so kelly and zac.

another favourite moment of the wedding day: we were on our way to gastown to photograph portraits when zac starts to say something and stops. oh no, never mind. kelly’s maid of honour says, oh c’mon! now you’ve started, you have to finish the sentence! kelly puts up her finger: no, definitely not. when we first started dating, that used to bother me. i quickly learned that whenever zac’s filter does not think something is appropriate, you do not push it! he already says so many off-colour, inappropriate things that by-pass his filter, therefore you must trust his filter when he refrains. zac sits there and smiles. love them.

kelly and zac’s reception was such an elegant party, full of beautiful pink centrepieces by granville island florist and off-the-hook catering by the vancouver club. when i shoot there, i eat well. ;) every room of the vancouver club itself simply oozes elegance… [side note: oozing isn’t a very elegant verb.] — kelly and zac, thank you for being so so so fun and in love and beautiful: have a fantastic european honeymoon!
