miranda & mike met almost seven years ago, in a small saskatchewan town. it was miranda’s hometown and mike had recently moved there [from another small saskatchewan town] for school. they had met through mutual friends before; mike lived at a house with a few other guys–it was the place to be on a friday or a saturday night. but it was one night, one party in particular that stands out in miranda’s mind. mike was full of one-liners that had miranda laughing even after she had long left his side. they’ve been dating for over six years & are in the middle of planning a destination wedding in vancouver!

vancouver is a city that means a lot to them as a couple, one, because it’s awesome and two, because three years ago, they spent a year living here while miranda went to vanarts for photography & mike worked. i love that even three years ago, mike was willing to pick up his life and follow miranda to vancouver for school. they are such a beautiful, relaxed couple. we spent two hours last friday wandering around the blocks surrounding their old apartment and then jumped in my car to head over to english bay. i really look forward to photographing their summer 2012 wedding!
