Nearing the conclusion of a long wedding season, it’s extra important to only work with couples you absolutely adore… And I adore Howard & Olivia. I loved every minute of Howard & Olivia’s wedding day on September 3, 2011 at Brock House. Olivia has been living in Shanghai since she graduated high school in Vancouver years ago. Howard is originally from San Diego but has been at Oxford University for the past year studying in a Pastoral Leadership program. Thankfully, Olivia & Howard have a beautiful friend named Holly who acted as the main wedding planner and point of contact here in Vancouver with all of their wedding vendors.

It was such a gift to hear their love story: introduced by a mutual friend at church one day. After a conversation, Howard invited Olivia to lunch. Their conversation lasted five hours. I love what Olivia writes, “I remember thinking how comfortable it was to talk to Howard about anything and everything, it was as if we had known each other for years. I was amazed that we had not met earlier considering we had both moved to Hong Kong around the same time & had been going to the same church. Looking back, I know that God had a plan and only allowed us to meet after we grew in our own walk with Him.”

Howard writes about that first lunch date, “I wanted to ask Olivia out again, but wanted to keep things low-key so I wouldn’t scare her away. This time I suggested a ‘casual’ dinner and she accepted. Our dinner was followed with a few more ‘dates’ & I began to see the amazing woman God had brought into my life. After just one week, we prayed and committed to a serious relationship – I felt I had to move fast so she wouldn’t change her mind!”

She didn’t change her mind! And on Saturday, I got to witness Olivia and Howard make Jesus the center of their celebration, their lives and their marriage. Thank you so much Olivia and Howard, for inviting me to be a part of it, enjoy your Brock House Wedding Photos below.
